Quick fixes (most common)
Microphone permission not granted
-
Go to
iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Microphone
and make sure VoiceSpend is allowed.
-
You can also check iOS Settings → VoiceSpend and
enable Microphone access there.
- Close and reopen VoiceSpend after changing permissions.
AI voice entry did not process
-
Check your internet connection — AI voice entry requires a network
connection to transcribe and parse your expenses.
-
If the audio was too quiet or unclear, try speaking closer to your
device or in a quieter environment.
- Close and reopen the app, then try again.
Expense data missing after reinstall
-
VoiceSpend stores your expense data locally on your device. Deleting
the app removes local app data.
-
If iCloud sync was enabled, your data should restore automatically
when you reinstall and sign in with the same Apple ID. Make sure
iCloud Drive is enabled in iOS Settings → [your name] →
iCloud.
-
To avoid data loss, use Settings → Data → Export Backup
(JSON) in the app to keep a regular backup.
Billing & subscriptions
Subscribe to a plan
Open VoiceSpend and tap the mic button, or use image entry from the
Transactions tab. If your free AI allowance is exhausted, the upgrade
screen will appear. You can also
go to Settings → Subscription → Upgrade Plan at any
time.
Manage or cancel
Go to
iOS Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions. Apple
handles subscriptions and billing.
Restore purchases
-
Make sure you're signed in with the same Apple ID you used to
subscribe.
-
Open VoiceSpend and go to Settings → Subscription →
Upgrade Plan, then tap Restore Purchase.
-
Your subscription, AI Minutes balance, and image-analysis balance
will be restored automatically.
Refunds
Apple manages refunds at
reportaproblem.apple.com.
Permissions VoiceSpend needs
-
Microphone: to capture audio for Voice Dictation
expense logging.
VoiceSpend does not permanently store your audio recordings.
Expense entries, accounts, and categories are saved locally on your
device and optionally synced via your personal iCloud account.
App privacy (plain English)
-
Expense entries, accounts, and categories are stored locally on
your device (and in your iCloud account if enabled) — not in our
cloud database.
-
Audio is processed transiently for transcription and is immediately
discarded — not permanently stored.
- No IDFA / no cross-app tracking.
